A bad hair day can strike at any time, and anyone. The worst part about experiencing one – aside from wasting time fixing it, you are stuck with the ruined look for the next 24 hours. Chances are you have to step out for work, shopping, or catching up with friends, so you cannot exactly spend the day hiding.
Expert hair stylist duo Saji and Faraz share their best cures for a bad hair day, because you can tie it into a bun only so many times. Though there are ways to turn your bad hair day around, here are few realistic tips to keep your bad hair days to the minimum.
- 1. For long or medium-length hair, if you want to let your hair down one day, just wash them the night before, tie into a bun on top before you go to sleep. By morning, you will have wild and free waves. Just the perfect to get that refreshing look for a great day ahead!
- 2. It happens to many, when they go to bed with wet hair and wake up with frizz! Just a dab a couple of drops of oil in your hands and gently run through your hair. This will settle the mane give your hair a wonderful shine.
- 3. On a bad hair day, even tying a pony doesn’t make it right. Best way to get rid of that dull look is to wet a comb continuously and stroke the hair with it, till the hair is relatively wet. Then, apply a hairspray or after-shower lotion and immediately blow dry. This will help the hair stay calm and you can then dry tie them the way you want.
- 4. When the hair is already so messed up and nothing can mess it up further, a simple braid or a French braid can do the trick. Braid it tightly and carry off the sophisticated look throughout the day.
- 5. When you are running late to office and have no time to wash your hair, just tie it into a bun with a thick rubber band, to hide the grease. In case of short hair, a gentle shower wash, while taking bath should get you rid of the oily feeling.
Though the above tips would really help you turn around a bad hair day, healthier hair experience less bad hair days. So, ensure you pamper your hair as much as you pamper yourself. Treat them right, oil them frequently, don’t expose them much to the sun and drink lots and lots of water. That would help them stay hydrated. Apply a good conditioner after every bath for intense moisture and protection.
